Located on a working sheep and beef farm and private conservation reserve on the Kaipara Harbour, Mataia Walks offers 1 and 2 day self-guided walk packages.
Encompassing rolling farmland, native bush, saltmarsh wetlands, and coastal forest this walks is the perfect showcase for the beautiful and undiscovered Kaipara.
Two accommodations include a 120 year old lovingly restored homestead surrounded by 5ha of cottage gardens. The quirky and cosy farm cottage is sited for magnificent views over the Kaipara Harbour and is filled with memorabilia of yester-year.
